Jackie, Jeff H., and I dove Little Rivers yesterday. Scootered to the Dome Room and then swam to the Well Casing. Vis is about 60 ft and the flow is way down. The typical nasty Little Rivers gritty silt common after floods is still all over the rocks and such past the Florida Room. If anyone is going to do this route, my recommendation would be to drop scooters @ the 3 way and just swim from there. Hanging stuff on the the upper-most portion of the line @ the Dome Room is harder to do (getting older I guess), and it seems like the hill is now higher! I just can't get too excited about coming back to LR for the rest of this year...the work to get scooters and tanks up and down vs. the viz was not worth it. This was the 4th dive for us this week testing out my Go-Pro camera w/Carl's improved lens on the housing. I can tell you that his optics are spot on. No more bluring of images underwater. The 1080p .mp4 files (H.264 compression) play great on the big screen, BUT they can be about as big as a typical DVD movie. The HD Surf Hero is the camera model to get. If anyone is contemplating getting an SD Card for this baby, believe it or not, the best prices that I have seen are on GoPro's site itself: http://www.goprocamera.com (http://www.goprocamera.com/) Their 16 GB SDHC Card for $40 is not a bad deal. Get the 16 and NOT the 8 GB. I messed around with all different light source combinations that would support scooter, helmet and both. Finally settled on having the Monkey Boys build me a system that will fit nicely on my scooter mount as well as easily carried if I am swimming. The problem is that you have to be able to get light out as far as 127 degrees (1080p) or 170 degrees if you are shooting 720p. (assuming that you want wide-angle). As soon as I get some editing done, I will post a few files on my FTP site so all y'all can either stream them or download. The HD clarity is unbelievable. These cameras and lights are absolute living final proof that even filthy Douchbags can do this stupid-assed video crap.

I bought the Eyeofmine housing for mine. 99 bucks and rated to 200'. My slimline H 1000 wasn't nearly enough for the camera to operate very well. Needs tons more light. Looks like I need to visit Edd and pick up a 50w monkey light with video reflector. Editing a little video right now, I'll upload it in a minute to youtube and post it here.
