I know that most of you all cant helpme out much but just getting the word out is all I am trying to do.

3 days ago my GF place got broken into and I have moved a bunch of stuff out there until the addition to my place is done. I have had some things stolen that were all boxed up until I was done at my place to get them bak on display.

DUI TLS 350 custom extra tall
old heathways double hose reg
single hose voit reg
SCP Pilot
SCP AIR 1
SCP AIR 2 first generation
MK7
MK1
MK6
bend-o-matic
several old guages and consoles, mask fins snorkels, pics of me at age of 8 with much of the old gear on and memoiable stuff with odds and ends of cave and diving stuff, yes FW they even have my Arrow you signed for me many years ago.

Any help is greatly thanked. Yup I am checking all the pawn shops in a 100 ml radius and craigs list. Even the local dive shops are aware of it.

Slim, we know you regularly used this equipment. This is a good thing. Someone that loved you must have taken it to keep you safe....

I suggest a trip to Cannonball with the perp when found, one way of course. I mean, every thief needs to know how the stuff they steal is used. With a trip they can watch first hand. Good luck my brother. Also check local craig's list. Mark

Ouch, Sorry for your losses - hope you are able to recover your gear. Perhaps a no line drill in the exit of Systema Sin Nombre would be in order for the thief.

Best wishes at the thieves being caught. Someone involved with my car break-in was caught, so there's some hope. Don't forget to check with ebay and scubaboard.

Thanks buds, and yes if I get ahold of themandthe law gets ahold of them could be differant punishment. I have done all I can told you all, and many other forums and even gotten word to dive shops in St Louis, KC and in AR. I am even keeping a eye on craigs list and ebay. It might be a few weeks to months but I think they will mess up somplace and get cought.

Well ME, you know not many would. They even got that pic of her and I with our suits, it was that suit that was taken, after it had been reconditioned.

JB must be pretty safe. I carefully locked my truck one day this summer, leaving a door standing wide open

Nothing was touched.

I dive there about every weekend now. this weekend i left a spool in the steps. A swimmer gave it to another team going in and they passed it back to me as I was leaving just past the second break down. Granted the guy probaly had little need for a spool but still a nice geasture.

... and nobody has ANY idea how tempting it was to pull up next to his truck, unload EVERYTHING into my truck, and quickly move my truck away before he returned from his dive...

I have done this twice at Ginnie, and on a weekend!
Nothing was missing either.

You'd have to be pulling up with a pretty big truck, and the trailer

I think we're onto something here. I go to all the trouble of locking the truck and putting expensive stuff out of sight, but still worry that someone will break in. What I need to do is leave a door wide open so people will think I'm still hanging around...

EXACTLY!!! If the truck door is hanging wide open, the owner MUST be nearby LOL LOL

Funny, I was staying in a hotel near NAS Pensacola for a meeting. I woke up in the middle of the night, put some clothes on and went to double check that all the truck door were locked, they were. Went to depart the next mooring, all the windows were rolled down, but the doors were locked. GPS, radio, 2nd amendment piece all intact. Crazy.

I know in VA not properly securing a weapon is a major issue. Techically in this situation removing it from an unlocked vehicle is still breaking and entering and would exempt you from prosecution - but the liabuility is huge if the weapon is stolen and someone gets hurt with it. I don't leave mine in my vehicle as a matter of practice buyt on rare occassions when I have to, I ensure it is out of sight and the vehicle secured.
