I have been trying to post a picture to my album in the gallery and each time I try it tells me that I dont have permission to do that.

Me or a hiccup in something......

Does your album exist already? Did you have pictures in the album already? Mac or PC? How many steps did you get through before the hiccup?

Yes I already have an album.... and there are pictures in it.... and when I go to the gallery it welcomes me by name......

I would go to my album and add pictures.... go browse my hard drive for the picture and set the address in place in the box and when I clicked upload.... it told me no.... several times.... It made me feel bad....

Boy, ya got me. I can do it. Yes, yes, RMD is an alter ego for me. It isn't much of a test if I do it as a moderator. We're spatial and our permissions might not be the same. So I did it as RMD. THEN I got in trouble for using an unapproved picture. I was able to delete it and add a less controversial pic. I didn't think anyone could see it. Sigh.

I use a Mac. Dunno if that matters.

Well, I hunted around my profile with my magical moderator powers. I didn't see anything that gives me any permission anywhere to post pics. I'm wondering if maybe you changed something (or something mysteriously changed without you knowing it), with your browser settings and internet security. Maybe your browser thinks the uploader is malware or something?

when I open the gallery there is a box with a bullhorn or some icon and it says

just tried it froma different computer..... same messages.....

It could be that you created the album under the old software, and for some reason the new software didn't transfer the permissions over. We will look into it.

TJ checked, and says you have permission to post pictures. TommyB said maybe you are trying to upload too large a picture. Try uploading a small picture, and if that doesn't work, send me a PM.

This shows the size and limits for each area of the galley

all are set to the defaults due to the upgrade.
TJ will need to fix to whatever sizes, limits that he had set before

I just used a test ID which has permissions set like everyone else.
THat ID was able to upload to the user's gallery just fin
