Haven't dove LR since before the Park Service took it over... but we're planning a return trip in a couple of weeks.

We've been to the Well Casing, and I don't mind the dive, but we wanted to try some new passages. (Already dove the Harper tunnel, Mud Tunnel, and both sides of the "T".) The question is... how are the dives to the Deep Section, the New Deep Section, and the Spring Creek Tributary?

In addition, can anyone provide some guidance on where to find the jumps? I've heard a couple of the line locations are difficult to locate.

Thanks in Advance,
Adam

LR is still a county maintained park and not yet a State Park (thankfully).

Well, it was before they closed it and concreted the hell out of the place.

I've been trying to keep up with LR as it is one of my favorite solo diving places.
Although I've been working a lot out of town recently and might have missed something the last update I heard was that the State owned it and will turn it into a normal Florida State Park when funds become available. Last year I was told that it would take around three million dollars and that the state did not have that to spend now or in the immediate foreseeable future.
So, LR, with improvements continues to be a county park. There will be a lot of changes when it becomes a State Park, like an entrance change and parking lot location change, cabins and trails (also for horses), etc.

Yea, I didn't have the heart to list those changes....

There are state parks that allow scooters. It is not a forgone conclusion that the no scooter rule would apply at LR.

Is the $3m for the escalator down to the water?

...So does anyone mind sharing their experiences in the tunnels previously mentioned?
