I currently use a mask with on the shelf inserts but am considering buying a SeaVision mask with my prescription. Anyone out there use a SeaVision mask? If so, do you like it? Also, they have some colored lenses, one of which they say is useful in low light conditions. Has anyone used it or do you just use the basic clear lens?
Any other alternatives that anyone uses are welcomed.
Thanks for your help.

I have two Ultra models which fit very well with my bifocal prescription. One is the clear lens and one is the yellow. I can't tell much difference between the two in cave, and mainly use the clear with the yellow in my pocket.

If you Googled "Prescription Dive Mask," you saw a bunch of choices there, one of which I use and recommend (PM me for my choice). I simply send them the mask I want to use, with the prescription, and they send it back with lenses made to the specific prescription order. I use a single clear lens, but they do make bi-focals and other types. As long as your general prescription is pretty stable right now, it's worth it I think.

Seavision will also make custom lenses to fit any mask you choose not just theres. There masks are nice as i own a couple. Atomic also makes custom order prescription lenses for their masks. Just depends on what you want but be prepared to spend a fair amount of money. (Note any mask you choose to make prescription needs to be two window)

Does Atomic now make more complicated lenses than just the 'shelf' (factory shelf that is) that they have been offering only for nearsightedness?
I have those and they have worked great but I know a friend who likes my mask but has more crookedy eye and would like lenses that are not glued on the mask like a second layer. That's one thing I like about the Atomics, the lenses are very clear and integral part of the frame.
Try http://www.prescriptiondivemasks.com/ They work with individuals and you just send them your mask if they dont have what you want with your perscription and they can do it. I have sent many there and they ahve been very happy with the service and turn around.

I've been diving SeaVision for a number of years and have purchased the standard gauge reader as well as having them custom make a SeaVision with the lens all the way across the bottoms of each glass panel. I also carry a backup SeaVision in my drysuit pocket. I've tried the pink and yellow lens but think the clear works just as well for all conditions.
Last week I put 24 hours on my primary SeaVision and it was comfortable all the time - the longest dive was close to 6 hours.
Good quality, good service, and they will even send you replacement parts free, at least they did for me.

Years ago I found contacts were no longer an option as my eyes failed to lubricate sufficiently. As a result, I went to a corrective mask. At first, it was to see the settings on my cameras. Now it is for distance as well. I have corrections for astigmatism in both eyes as well as readers in my mask.
I have tried several different makes of bonded lens masks. Inevitably, the bonding agent has always broken down allowing for intrusion between the Rx lens and the facemask lens. Once water is allowed between the Rx lens and the facemask lens mineral deposits will begin to form ultimately rendering the mask useless. This has been a very painful process as my Rx in facemasks has always been on the pricey side.
I now dive with Seavision masks. The chief benefit being there is no bonding process. The Rx is actually ground into the facemask lens. This is the only style of corrective facemask lens I will ever dive again. I love it.

Yeah atomic will make any prescription you give them to my knowledge . I had them make a pair for a customer not to long ago that were like coke bottles.
