Arrived this morning at 8:30 so we could go in at Freidman. To my surprise there wasn't anyone else there. Me and Jeno Beno decided to go upstream from friedman and jump to the bypass line again. This time we went to the sewer line and jumped there and went up the sewer line far a few hunderd ft.(first time in there) Flow was up from last week but still not bad. The sewer line is milky and silty. The slate on the line that sad they were replacing the line so be careful because it is fragile was a attention getter. Made sure we didn't touch it. Was interesting in there to say the least. I see why the vis is always better past friedmans. We had the cave all to our selves the whole time. not even a sigle diver in catfish. If you haven't di the Friedman bypass yet try it you'll like it. Max depth is 102 ft. length 700 ft. single file most of the way.Lots of clay mounds and ups and downs. Flow is moderate. Attack from the downstream side first and then complete from the upsteam side.

FYI: Manatee, (at least Catfish Hotel), will be a bit more crowded this next Saturday (the 27th) as I believe two different Gainesville area dive shops will have divers there for two different events.

Thanks for reminding me: we need to take that slate out. The line in the Sewer Tunnel has actually now all been replaced with new #72 line graciously donated by the CDS (thanks to Jim Wyatt).
Both major side passages (the Milk Tunnel and the Sewer Tunnel) of Manatee are worth a visit, especially with the river up and the flow down. A significant amount of the total flow of the system comes through those two conduits.
