CDF Social July 2010

Time to plan for the July 2010 CDF social. We would like to have it at Ginnie on Saturday July 3rd.

I am currently doing time in Rochester NY (Fine town, I'm sure, back when Kodak cornered the market on that lifetime film thing). So I'd like to have a couple of volunteers who can work locally (Florida is locally) to help me with logistics, transportation, etc. Once I have those, we can plan the rest of the social.

Plus, this time I'm diving, even if the hotdogs burn ;)

Before anybody starts griping about having it on a holiday weekend again, let it be known that I will be missing my church's biggest service of the year, Independence Sunday, for the first time in eleven years.

That said, we hope to have fifty or sixty (or more) cave divers attend this year's social. Bob has done a great job running the show for the last two socials, but he's going to need some help. We have several CDF members who are a lot more "local" to Ginnie than most of the CDF staff, so anybody that wants to get involved, send Bob a PM. We'll give you access to the private forum where behind-the-scenes planning goes on.

Looking for volunteers to help pick stuff up, clean up, cook food, clean up after the "dirt don't hurt" girl, etc. I'd like to do something "different" for the scooter races this year, lets discuss. I have some great volunteers but more are always welcome !

I'd offer to bring some ice, but the last time I was at Ginnie there was ice on the picnic tables so we may not need any. Hot chocolate maybe?

Don't think it will be any issue this time. We probably need a volunteer to sweep drunken college kids off the floor before someone drops a tank on them, though.
