Improved visibility? I guess they threw some zebra mussels in there.

Actually, it's been that pricey for a good while now.... It was so this past July when I was there. 'Matter of fact, I had to pay for both myself and my instructor.

Three days at 40 Fathom equals a year at Jackson Blue.
(BTW, finally, a legitimate use for that emoticon!)

vs. $60-80 and risking a blown out boat dive....
I suppose I can see some rationale supporting the pricing as a technical training site....

Yeah, from an instructor's point of view. They get in free.
$60-80 for a boat ticket - a boat burns a lot of expensive fuel. What's the rationale for charging $50 a day in a sinkhole?
That wasn't rhetorical, but a legit question. I've never been there. What amenities are there to justify such a high entry price?

I was there several months back for x/deco. It set up very nice all the goodies.(air/nitrox/O2/bathrooms/shower) Those super stairs sucked big time.

Interesting. I work less than a mile from the CDA school in Jacksonville off of Main St. I was in there today looking for spring straps for my Jets, and noticed that they had a bunch of posters, 24 x 18 maybe, of FFG. Now I at least understand that connection. I haven't been there since 04, but it wasn't nor is it worth $50 IMO.

So for Tracy & I to dive one day there would cost $100.00 - as opposed to our Florida State Parks family pass for $128.22 including tax, good for 13 months if you buy it the first of the month. Hmmm - let me think about that... :)
