Two Sisters BBQ in Mayo has moved/changed. They're across the street and up just a bit, near the coffee house. It's now LJ's (I think) BBQ & Steaks. The fantastic young waitress that used to take such good care of us was working the register. We REALLY missed her at our table! Our waitress seemed less than interested in our empty glasses and incomplete orders. The BBQ was NOT Two Sisters quality.

The new facility is beautiful, and I am crossing my fingers that our experience was just "growing pains" for them and the old quality and service will be back soon.

Let us know if you go and if things are "back" yet.

I hope they have things straightened out by the time we get back to cave country in February - Two Sisters has always been one of our favorites.

Has the menu changed much?

They've added several items (steak and such) and re-arranged/renamed everything. Fried corn and BBQ are still there.

They've also added a bar and pool tables. It was pretty dead Saturday night. Hopefully, it doesn't become a noisy bar atmosphere that happens to have food. Geez, I sound like a geezer...oh well ;)

I'm with you there - one thing that will always keep me from returning to a restaurant is noise, including loud music. I like to be able to have a conversation without having to yell. So I'm a geezer too!

As long as it's reasonably quiet and they still have my favorite 4-way BBQ combination plate on the menu, I'll be happy! :)

Did they take the horrible dry BBQ with them....? I was always a big fan of the Saturday Night special... what they lacked in quality, certainly made up in quantity....

So they took over the sports bar building.. the one that came and went quick (county took away their alcohol license)?

I guess so, I don't recall a sports bar before, but they are in two "units", and have a big cut out in the wall between the restuarant/bar and the pool tables. The bar didn't seem to be serving, now that I think about it, so maybe they don't have a liquor license yet, either.

Yep, hope they left that, along with the thousand or so flies buzzing around the front window. Maybe we just caught them on an off-night, but that is some of the worst BBQ I've ever had. Here's hoping they've improved.
