I noticed that a cave called Swamp Cave comes up frequently in the random pictures. Where is this cave? I don't see it in any of the Florida Cave sites

There are a number of 'Swamp Caves', but the ones with the most pictures include Buford, http://floridacaves.com/buford.htm plus some others near it, in the same swamp, and up near Homosassass. I've only been to Buford once, and it was awesome, but once is enough for me because I don't like diving with monsters. There was a huge alligator laying on a ledge around 30' looking at me like I was a snack (not dinner or lunch, just a snack). My guide didn't pay much attention to it, but no one spent any deco time on that side of the caven. I might mention that to get to these swamp caves, at least Buford, you have to walk, crawl and climb through a real swamp. Water was high when I went and we got a bit lost going in and out of the swamp, and I think I stepped into every hole, twice.

This is inside Chassahowitzka? Is this the place where you have to ride horses or walk into from the gate? Several years ago Mike Bruic and I rode his horses into that area and did some orienteering into the woods to some springs he knew about. We never did get back to dive them because he moved up to Madison soon after and got real busy there.
Am I talking about the same place? The springs we looked at are on the east side of the road about a half mile into the woods.

Yes it's in the Chaz. State Park off Hwy 19.

You have to grunt your gear thru a soft, mucky, snake and gator infested swamp to reach an area of openwater. The sink is under a dead tree. A perment line is at the ceiling, and there's a small circuit to follow at 130 - 140 feet deep. I would strongly urge you to check with the rangers of the park to see if it is ok to access the cave via cart. If they say no, I would leave because you can screw up access to the Eagle's Nest for others.
