A few years ago I bought several DR regs. The first stages were an RG1200. I had them rebuilt on a regular basis at the LDS, who is a DR dealer. I have been very happy with them. A couple of weeks ago, while at Cave EX, having my tanks pumped up to 3800-3900#, one of the first stages blew a high pressure seat. I looked in the 2005 DR catalog and see the first stages are now a model # 1208. they are listed as being able to withstand fill pressures up to 4500psi. Are they now delivering a HPS with more capability? When I take my RG1200's for rebuild can I have the dealer put in seals for the RG1208?

I have high pressure tanks, DOT rated at 3500psi---fill to 3800, then when they cool, they are 3500. :D
