Hello to all, I am a new member and would like to know if anyone knows where I might go to find a 7' hose that will fit my cyclone 5000. Finding parts and service for poseidon regulators, as some of you probably know, is difficult at best. I am considering buying new dive rite regs. because parts and service are just about gone for poseidon regs. It's a shame as I really would like to continue to use them, however, it seems that this is no longer practicle. Any thoughts?...Thanks.

Poseidon just about has their act together. Parts are starting to be shipped now. I will look at home, I think I have a spare 7' hose.

Try Scuba Center in DelRay Beach. They seem to have a good supply of parts

Bert at Tampa Adventure Sports does some work with Poseiden regs. He might have what you need.

Forrest,
We have been hearing that for over three years now. If this is true it is great news, I have at least five first stages that I need poppets for. No use putting new seats in when the poppets are gone. If you get a solid source for parts please let me know.

Bobby

There is an alternative.
Replace the custom second stage connection with a standard connection and then you can use a regular 7ft hose or a Miflex hose.

Golem Gear sells the omni swivel- http://www.golemgear.com
(Please call and confirm that it will fit your second stage specifically.)
People will complain that the swivel is a additional failure point however, the omni swivel is patented and engineered.

If... you take this route please make sure your first stage has to have a built in overpressure release valve or you need to add a over pressure release valve to the first stage. (Most Poseidon 1st stages have the over pressure valve built in; you need to confirm this.)

After I spent over $130.00 for my 7ft Poseidon Cyklon hose and had to order it from Sweden I started looking for other options.

I sure hope that Poseidon is back...

What I was told is, they now have most individual parts. They are back-ordered on kits, because they make them up in the US from the individual parts. I have some 2nd stage kits, but no 1st stage kits for the Cyklon 5000.

I did find a slightly used 7' Cyklon hose, if you are interested.

Thanks crazyduck. I did know about the swivel but was hoping someone had info about a possible non-swivel fitting as that would be preferable. Looks like I'll be investing in new regs to beat the hassle. Will hold on to my precious cyclones wilh the hopes that parts will become easier to get. Strange that I live in the cavedive capital of the south and yet no local sources for them, anyway thanks again to you and all for the info

He started to sell these specially developed fittings this summer (non-swivel).

....Strange that I live in the cavedive capital of the south and yet no local sources for them .....
Well, there are actually lots of places in FL:
http://www.poseidon.se/contact/index.asp?GrpID=11&SubID=25&SubGrpID=25,%2026,%2027,%2028&StrProdID=&MenuGrpID=3&MainGrpCon=10,%2011&qsMarketID=57

Plus one dealer that is not on the list, Dayo Scuba in Orlando. http://www.scubadiver.cc/

One issue is that Poseidon won't sell parts to individuals, unless they have a regulator repair certification from Poseidon.
