I got one of the swine flu shots when it first came out in the mid '70s, and the damned thing nearly killed me. NO WAY would I get another flu shot. The flu is much safer than the shots!

I've gotten a flu shot every year since 1974, including the old swine flu shot. Never had any symptoms or problems from them, and have never gotten the flu. Working in the ER I get exposed to everything that comes around, but I very rarely get sick. I think that having grown up on a farm playing in the cow manure gave me a strong immune system, and working in the ER keeps it revved up.

An ER nurse buddy of mine says that his ER-hardened immune system is so powerful, it attacks and kills small birds and animals that come within 20 feet of him. Those of us who work with him say it's not his immune system, it's the nether emanations of his GI tract! He is a highly efficient methane generator - the renewable energy people ought to be studying him.

I remember that!!
I was in boot camp towards the end and they experimented with us with the shot. One guy said he did not feel it, so he got two!!!!!

I had one of the barracks watches that evening and what a nightmare!!
People getting violently ill, sleepwalking, yelling, hallucinating!
It was like a scene from some horror flick!
