After it seemed like the cave gods were against me by preventing my intended dive partners from showing up, I was able to dive both Friday and Saturday with two new acquaintences and enjoyed myself thoroughly.

Ok, so there might have been an in-water equipment challenge or two, but nothing that could not be overcome and turned into a growth opprotunity, right? I mean should I expect a relatively new bladder (15 dives) to fail? Probably not. Was there a plan in place to deal with it? Yep. Was it natural to use the reserve bladder and inflator on the "wrong side"? Not at all. But now, I know I can do it in a cave as well as the pool.

After working on charter boats for so long and always expecting a few bozos to show up, I continue to be amazed and impressed at the caliber of the people that I meet cave diving. I will also do my best, not to be a cave bozo, but an attentive student. Thanks again
