I just got back from Mexico and I was able to get my full cave cert with Steve Bogearts. I highly recommend him. Steve was very patient with me while I adjusted to diving in Mexico vs Florida.

To anyone considering training in different parts of the world, I highly recommend it!

Congratulations, I am going to start cavern/intro next month and look forward to the day I can let everyone know that I have finished full cave.

TJ, I would love to. I was hoping to get out there before Tommy left, but it doesn't appear I am going to make it. Hector is having scheduling problems, so the next trip I may need to head up there alone.

The funny thing about getting full cave is that I actually feel more like a noob than when I got Intro. I guess I am learning just how much I don't know.

That just means you're thinking clearly and have the right attitude. I've been full cave since 2006 and am only a few dives away from an Abe Davis award, and I still consider myself a complete noob and rookie.

Congratulations!

I've seen you dive, and you're right! :rollguy

(Disclaimer: I've never seen him dive. It just seemed like the right thing to say.)

Argh! (pulling arrow out of chest) You got me! LOL!

I hope to actually meet and dive with you sometime rather than just interact on the forum - though with your new scooter you might not want to dive with us plain old swimmy people.:)

Here's my policy: when I was a new cave diver, experienced cave divers made many dives with me, although I knew they'd rather be making bigger dives. Therefore, I've never turned down a new diver because I'd rather do something bigger.

(I just hope nobody asks me to do a swim dive at JB for the next few months.)

I spend all of my time on the forums so I don't need a full cave card; I am an expert :P

J/K I only look that way because I am usually diving next to Sam :)

Cheers,
Jeff

Can't blame you there! I've only done four dives in JB, all on back gas, and have only gotten back as far as the beginning of Kings Canyon. (and that was when the flow was down) I'd sure be scootering in there if I was scooter equipped! Looking at the map, it's amazing how big that cave is and how little of it I've seen.
