Last weekend I was in the area with my Wife, we tried a new place to stay for the weekend.

The cabins are nice but rustic, will comfortably sleep four or more(two in a double bed, two bunks and a loft, bring a sleeping bag for up there) - clean, and out of town so it's nice and quiet. There is the lodge if you need more civilized lodgings, they also have a pistol / rifle range if you want to practice a bit.
There are some folks that will avoid this place because they do "canned hunting" - I had a discussion with the guy who runs the hunts, they are on 500 acres and there is no guarantee that a hunter will "get" what he's tracking. The animals are trained to avoid humans with paintball, and sometimes will end up chasing the guests back into the hunting trucks. I figured the playing field is as level as it's going to get on that front, so don't worry, they are not chaining an animal up to a tree and shooting it.
I was very happy there -I like Chateau H2O a lot, but if it's only two of us (without the kids - don't need the space), this is a nice alternative to down town High Springs. They also don't mind if you hang gear on the porch.
