Good day everyone again

I whent to a other dive in my sidemount gear. I am still doing that cold water attuning for the mine exploration projet that I have.

In the first training session I did, I was suprise how easy it was to controle the steel tank. the real problem was the dry glove and the attachement point on the back of my harness. They are too small.

To correct that, I did some welding job. Now my low profil d ring are fix in a 90 degree angle. Because they are low profil, the are not at all in the way and I believe they are not creating any entangle point. Whit that done, it's way more easy to get my tank on and off whit dry glove.

Other trouble on my first session was that just before the dive, I destroy my wing inflation systeme. I fix it and whent diving. the Camel bag wing are very confortable to use. The air cell is perfectly well place on the lower back and it help for rotation movement. Trouble I found today was that the inflation tube is way to small and i need to blow super hard to inflate it. I need to put something bigger.

Today, I was diving whit a recreationnal diver. For safety reason, i put a 7 feets hose on my right tank. During my sidemount course in mexico, my long hose was making the tank twisting in a strange position. Steel tank and smaller bungee seem to help alot, my tank was perfectly strait.

Also in the process of training, I carree a o2 stage today. Even whit the dry glove it's a piece of cake to put a stage. But to be sure that the stage stay streamline, the razor harness miss a buttom attachment point. So i add a d ring.

All in all, it was a good day of training. I still have some stuff to correct but im almost ready for cold diving mine exploration.

There one thing that I notice today and piss me off a little. Saturday morning I assit on a TDI deco dive, so I use my twin set. Saturday afternoon, I was guiding some recreationnal diver, so I take a single cylinder equipement. and finaly sunday i did my sidemount harness.

Three kind of diving and three different harness. On july 20 I will be on ccr so i gonna have 4 differents harness. It's way too mutch. I need to build a harness that will do everything in one harness.

I think I have excactly what I need. Stay tune for my next custom harness.

Thx in advence for your comment

E, you should not have to blow at all. The air should get sucked out of your lungs. Get you ass up a little higher and it will be a little easier. It is basic physics.

No worries, at least you are diving. I am buying furniture and doing baby stuff like ultrasounds. Life has certainly changed.

you ever come up with one harness to do it all?

hi

yes i made it, but im not using it right now. I made a kind of backplate made or rubber insted on metal. Tha plate was strong enouf to carry my double. for recreationnal i waas putting cam band to carry a single tank plus a ow bcd. in sidemounting the plate had a buttpad integreted and some low profil d-ring to get the tank on.

when i received my revo, i realise that i cannot use that harness whitout screwing all the wob, so i give it up. plus, i did miss some space to carry it back in mexico.

So yes, it's working, but it's back in canada...
