I've seen the current commericial sidemount rigs,and even the ones to be released soon,but all of them use the butt plate attachment point. How many sidemounters still use carribiners on the side of their hip. I prefer this method.

The razor harness doesn't appear to have a butt plate...

I wish there was a harness that would allow you to switch between both. There are times that I borrow some tanks,and I can't use the bolt snap/suicide clip option.

I have alway's used the big a$$ SS bolt snap or a carabiner on the tank and attached at the hip. I tried the butt type ones and never could get my tanks as snug as I wanted them.
