Just received my copy of Springs of Florida, Bulletin 66, from the Florida Geological Survey. It's very impressive. And it includes a CD of the entire book. I suppose those who live in Florida already know about most of the information contained in the book, but for me, new to cave diving, and trips to Florida, it's the most amazing book. Color pictures of each spring, whether or not cave divers have reported depths, and accessibility, water analysis, latitude and longitude, beginning and ending and connections to other systems, if any, and more. There must be 200 ( or more?) springs listed. Cool.

Did you purchase it or download it.

If anyone is intesrested here is the link for it from the State of Florida to download. Our Tax dollars already paid for it, so it's free to d-load.

You can d-load the entire bulletin or parts of it.

I mailed a check and two weeks later received a bound book with nice glossy photo's. Large size book, like a magazine, but thicker with 377 pages. A CD is included in a plastic pouch in the back cover (pdf file format). I don't remember the address where I mailed the check, but it's on a previous post I read in this forum. I went to the website in your post, found the phone number and called them to verify the cost, shipping, address, etc.

Dwain:

I just went to your website and noticed the link to Wayne's World, so I read part of it. I haven't dived Wayne's World in over a year, so I wasn't aware that it's now gated.

Is all we have to do is go by "Scuba West" and sign a waiver and get the lock combo, or do we have to pay a fee to dive there now?

if you call Joe Tegg - (727) 510-8658 or email him send him a pm (http://cavediver.net/phpbb2/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=36) he will provide you with the details...

I do know that for all CDS properties that the individual should be a member. It's not cheap to purchase and own property for a non profit organization. Not to mention the upkeep, taxes etc.

I've been a NSS-CDS member since 1987 and am also on the Cow Springs contributor list.

The NSS-CDS must be behind in getting renewal notices out because I haven't received one yet. I've already paid my $36.00 NSS membership fee and received a 2005 card from them.

Yep.

It's a similar access policy as Cow, which you already know well. :)
