Anyone have Pet Insurance and would recommend a good company?

I ask as my last two dogs had extensive medical bills and we rescued a German Shepherd in December and I want to get insurance.

Progressive has it i believe.

Ask the vet. They can tell you the pros and cons of all the ones that their customers use.

But FW's suggestion of asking your vet who pays the best, etc. is a very good idea.

would rocommend asking around as I had it for my dog and there was a life time limit on it.... the dog ended up with a heart problem as a puppy and he reached the limit quite easily as the vet I used (on the list as participating)(and will not ever use again) took full advantage of the fact and sucked it dry in a year.

I have insurance from th AKC on my Boxer. I haven't had to use it yet thankfully... But they pay for almost everything if you get the premium package.

The last time I was at the vet., I picked up info. for two pet insurance companies: 1) ASPCA; and 2) VPI pet insurance. They seem to me to be pretty reasonable, BUT as you would expect do not cover pre-existing conditions.
