Tank Valve overhaul

I took my ScubaPro tank valve apart to clean and overhaul, I did not find a brass crush washer in it? it should have one correct?

It can work fine without one if you tighten the heck out of it.

I assume thats a yes it should have one!
The valve worked great before. I guess its possible the crush washer fell out and I did not see it..
