Chris Henson Memorial Fund

I live for the weekend when I can head to North Florida and
dive.
July 2, 1967 to May 24, 2003
The Chris Henson Fund was created to memorialize a good person, friend
to many, and a cave diver. The fund was created to provide funds for the enhancement, preservation, conservation and exploration
related to cave diving.
If you wish to participate in the administration of this fund,
your help is much needed and will be much appreciated. Please contact JAHurley@cfl.rr.com
Caverns Unknown to Man
By

24 May 2003
In memory of Chris Henson
The night was dark and peaceful
Darkness absolute
All is right, all is good
The cave symphony so wonderful and harmonious
A soft glow begins to emanate
From passages far and remote
The splendor and beauty slowly unveiled
The diver gracefully glides through
Moving art as he passes
Economy of motion, no wasted movement
A fin stroke here and there
Takes gracefully on to some unknown
If you ask him why
He probably couldn't tell you
What it is that draws him
Its lure so sweet and powerful
Unrelenting and sure the cave draws him
Once again the night is dark and peaceful
Darkness absolute
A new glow emanates
Its source unknown
Wonderful splendors are sure to be shown
A new day dawns
Our world one less
Heaven one more
Our departed friend begins a new journey
To explore Caverns unknown to man.
